Helping Home Owners and Home Buyers Understand Their Homes

I started swinging a hammer in 1973, learning the trade as a carpenter in both residential and commercial construction. Over the years I worked my way up to foreman, superintendent, and construction manager — reading plans, coordinating with architects and engineers, managing subcontractors, and running complex projects from the ground up. This experience has helped me to better understand home buying issues.

As many of you know, in 2008, the construction and real estate word fell apart. I happened to be working on some large projects that kept me busy until 2011. In 2012 I founded my home inspection business in one of the worst real estate markets ever. For the next fourteen years I have been helping home buyers and home owners truly understand their houses. We have literally inspected thousands of homes in that time frame. That hands-on experience gives me a unique perspective — I don’t just inspect homes, I know how they’re built, what can go wrong, and what really matters.

The motto in our company says it all “We educate clients through inspections, providing critical information for informed property decisions” This is not only about someone that wants to be a home buyer but also home owners. Buying a home is a difficult and challenging experience but it is also very rewarding when it’s over. However, once it’s over, it’s time to start thinking about home maintenance. Most of the issues we find in homes during our inspection process is related to lack of maintenance. Neglecting maintenance can cause more problems with a home that anything else.

This site is all about sharing that knowledge with you, the home buyer / home owner, whether you’re designing a new home, buying an older one, or just trying to take better care of the house you already have.

We hope this knowledge is helpful to you.
